Google whizzed through a lot of announcements

IT Tech Support Melbourne(Image credit: Google)
Google made a flurry of announcements during its Google Pixel 5 launch event. The tech giant talked about its upcoming new Pixel phones – the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G – an all-new Chromecast, Google Stadia, Google TV and everything else in between.
The 30 minute event was delivered at such a lightning-fast pace, though, that you’d be forgiven if some of the key dates, reveals or announcements passed you by. Don’t worry, though, as we’re on hand to recap everything you might have missed from Google’s Pixel 5 launch event. Let’s dive in.

ACSC Releases Updated Cyber Security Guides And Best Practices

Cyber security Melbourne
The ACSC has just recently updated several publications and released a few new ones covering various aspects of Cyber Security, from basic one page flyers to in depth 20 plus page manuals.
Their Step-by-step guides are very simple to follow and should be read and implemented as standard best practice immediately, as well as duty of care to your loyal customers.
The recurring theme in most of these guides are the basics, Update, Patch & Backup...  Yet we see on an almost daily basis, Windows 7 still being used with un-patched software and older business programs in use. This is a disaster waiting to happen. In 2017, the global ‘WannaCry’ ransomware attack targeted people using unsupported versions of Microsoft Windows.
There were over 200,000 victims in 150 countries who were unable to access their locked down files. Cybercriminals know some users still use products that are no longer being protected by developers’ security updates. Over time, these cybercriminals are more likely to break into these older, unsupported products than those still being protected by their developers.
The techniques cybercriminals use will evolve over time, but the defences of unsupported products will remain as they were at the time of end of support. It's only a matter of time before unsupported Windows 7 machines get hit.

The new Samsung phones take the lead in 5G, zoom cameras, 8K, 120Hz screens and more.

Tech Support
The company that sells the most smartphones in the world, Samsung, goes first each year in unveiling its new flagship devices. This year, Samsung preempted its announcement of the new Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra by unveiling a new foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip, less than 48 hours before the event for its new Galaxy S phones. If standing out against foldables wasn't tough enough, unveiling its new foldable in a commercial during the Oscars made it even tougher.
The Galaxy Z Flip will steal most of the headlines at Samsung Unpacked 2020, but that device is all about taking on the reborn Motorola Razr. The new Galaxy S20 has bigger competition in mind -- Apple's iPhone, Google's Pixel and Huawei's high-end phones -- the phones many more people will actually buy in 2020. And to Samsung's credit, the highest-end model of the new Galaxy S20 has done eight things that have raised the bar for flagship phones:
