ADOBE KILLS OFF FLASH

12/1/2021

If you’re still running it, uninstall Flash Player now

IT support melbourne
Adobe has confirmed that it will no longer be supporting the software after December 31 2020, and will actively block Flash content from running inside Flash Player from January 12 2021.
In the company’s own words it “strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to protect their systems.”
Anyone who is still running Flash Player can expect to start seeing notifications pop-up on their screen that the software’s death is just days away and that they should uninstall the software.
Flash’s demise shouldn’t be a shock, it’s been on the cards for years. And it’s not just Adobe which has been working hard to kill it off in a graceful fashion. The likes of Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Mozilla stopped Flash from playing in their browsers years ago, and have committed to excising any remaining Flash-related code entirely by the end of 2020.

IPHONE 12 MINI REVIEW: APPLE'S SMALLEST IS A ONE-HANDED PHONE USERS DREAM

Move over iPhone SE. This is the small iPhone people have been asking Apple to make

Computer repair melbourneSource: Patrick Holland:CNET
In 2020, phones are big. Even the small ones are big. The iPhone 12 Mini is wonderful because it's not big. It's truly small. When Apple announced the Mini along with the iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max it was a remarkable moment for small phone lovers like myself. For a long time, we've wanted Apple to make a truly small iPhone in the vein of the iPhone 5, 5S or original SE. Earlier this year, Apple got our hopes up a bit, when it released a new iPhone SE which put the brains of the iPhone 11 Pro into the smallish body of the iPhone 8. It's a solid phone for the price, but it's tucked inside a three-year-old design.
Obviously when you make anything smaller, there are going to be trade-offs and I braced myself wondering which features Apple sacrificed to make a small phone in 2020. But the iPhone 12 Mini has everything the iPhone 12 has -- it's just smaller. It has the same flat-sided design, support for 5G and OLED screen with support for HDR. The screen is covered with Apple's ceramic shield. The body has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and supports MagSafe wireless charging and accessories. It has the same A14 Bionic processor, runs the same iOS 14 software and even has the same cameras. The iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are the same phone. But one is small and one isn't

The ACSC, Australian Cyber Security Centre Warns Aussies Attacks Are On The Rise While Working From Home

Tech Support Bayside Melbourne
The Australian Signals Directorate’s (ASD) Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has observed an increase in the number of ransomware incidents affecting Australian organisations and individuals.
This information on risks, impacts and preventative actions associated with ransomware incidents is intended to inform Australian small to medium businesses, industry organisations and Commonwealth entities. The preventative measures outlined below can also be applied to Australian individuals seeking to protect themselves against ransomware incidents.
Ransomware can cripple organisations that rely on computer systems to function, by encrypting all connected electronic devices, folders and files and rendering systems inaccessible. Cybercriminals will then demand a ransom in return for the decryption keys, often in the form of untraceable cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Cybercriminals may also demand payment of a ransom to prevent public release of data stolen during the incident.Ransomware is one of the most frequent and damaging types of malware, demonstrated by cybercriminals’ success in gaining access to networks and taking money directly from the pockets of Australians.
